5 Fun Ways to Celebrate Australia Day With Your Dog

Australia day is tomorrow, and it is expected to be a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and a high of 32 degrees in Sydney. On a day that we all will have off, we want to make it special, but of course, we don’t want to leave our fur babies at home and miss out on all the fun the day will bring. So we have come up with five things to do tomorrow to make the most of Australia day with your four-legged best friend.

1. Go To The Beach

Australia has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Why not spend the glorious day with your pup, who can enjoy a run around the beach and dig their nose in the sand while you get your dose of Vitamin D.

2. Hire a Stand Up Paddle Board 

If your dog enjoys the water, take them for on fun ride on a catamaran or stand up paddle board. You will surely make great memories and have a lot of laughs with these activities. Of course, with all water activities, it is recommended to take precaution and use a pet life jacket.  

3. Go on a Boat or Ferry Ride

There is no better place to be on Australia day than on the water. If you can, take your fur family on a boat and explore the beautiful ocean or hop on a ferry and experience a scenic ride to one of your favourite locations. 

4. Go for Lunch With Your Bestie

Table for 2 please! We are blessed to have so many excellent restaurants and dog-friendly cafes around us, so take your bestie out for a nice long lunch and try out a new restaurant or café that you both will enjoy.

5.  Road Trip!

 Seize the day with a road trip to a place you’ve always wanted to go to and make a day out of it. Then, take your dog for a nice walk or hide, where there will enjoy plenty of new sniffs and smells. Be sure to pack some snacks for yourself and a pet water bottle for your fur babe.
